Vulcan XL

The Vulcan XL serves as an all-in-one bass preamp that integrates discrete parallel drive circuits, a four-band EQ, and a balanced XLR output into a single unit. The signal pathway splits following the initial gain stage, directing the signal to each individual overdrive circuit, where it undergoes clipping and shaping, controlled by the color switch. After blending with the input through the mix control, the signal passes through a flexible four-band EQ, allowing total tonal manipulation. A fat switch enables pre-clipping low frequency rolloff. Additionally, it features a clean out jack for seamless parallel processing, and the balanced XLR output with ground lift ensures a strong signal directly into the mixing console or front of house. Encased in a compact design with a brushed anodized aluminum faceplate, the Vulcan XL employs the proprietary Pike CMOS bypass switching system, ensuring dependable silent switching via a clickless stomp switch. While it operates beautifully at 9v DC, it can also be powered with 18v for enhanced clarity and additional headroom.
