Vatra

The Vatra is an overdrive pedal crafted for Vlad Yarun, the guitarist of the Ukrainian band Karna. This pedal offers a refined interpretation of the Ibanez TS-808, designed to enhance high-gain amplifiers while providing a sharp, percussive attack. Musically, the Vatra features two distinct modes activated by a toggle switch. In Smereka mode, it delivers the focused mid-range characteristic of a traditional 808, ideal for standing out in a dense mix. Switching to Buk mode engages MOSFET clipping, introducing a gritty texture and increased low-end presence for a more robust sound. This versatility makes the Vatra suitable for both boosting crunch channels and shaping lead tones.
