Musically, the Valve Job II offers tones from smooth, amp-like edge of breakup to more aggressive overdrive, providing strong touch sensitivity. The pedal responds well to playing dynamics, allowing for a versatile performance. Controls include Gain, Touch, Tone, and Level, which enable detailed shaping of distortion character, feel, and output volume. The Pure Gain circuit serves as a high-quality buffer when bypassed and an active boost when engaged, with a factory setting of around 10 dB that can be adjusted internally for higher output.
