The VOX Tone Garage V8 Distortion is a high-gain distortion pedal designed for powerful riffs and prominent leads. Utilizing VOX’s Hi-Volt technology, it operates the included 12AX7 (ECC83) vacuum tube at approximately 200 V, even when using batteries. The fully discrete circuit ensures a unique tonal character. Musically, the V8 delivers rich, saturated distortion with a versatile mid-range response. The Mid-Shift switch allows you to toggle between a broader mid-range emphasis and a more focused, lead-oriented mid sound. Additional controls for Gain, Tone, Bass, and Volume provide further tonal shaping, all housed in a robust die-cast body with true bypass.
