The Wren and Cuff Two Five is a boost and overdrive pedal that utilizes a unique circuit design with an internal charge pump, allowing it to operate at 25V from a standard 9V input. This higher voltage results in a wide dynamic range, increased headroom, and enhanced output, delivering a powerful and responsive feel that sets it apart from typical overdrives. Musically, the Two Five offers an interactive EQ section modeled after vintage amplifier tone stacks, where adjusting one control affects the others. This interaction provides a broad array of tonal options by manipulating the Lows, Mids, and Highs. The pedal also features a Voice switch that alters the clipping characteristics, offering two configurations: one for rich, saturated gain using Mosfet and germanium diodes, and another for a cleaner sound with LED clipping, allowing for dynamic versatility and ample output for driving amplifiers or other pedals.
