At its core, the Tremond boasts the renowned LM308n integrated circuit. A standout feature is the clipping mode switch, allowing you to swap out the standard silicon diodes (for that classic high gain tone) with a unique asymmetrical LED and germanium combination. This setup offers a crunchy, 'clear breakup' sound ideal for lower gain settings or can serve as an additional boost at higher gain. You can also bypass the clipping diodes entirely for a massive surge of pure op-amp distortion.
