TranZformer CMP

The API Select TranZformer CMP is a compression pedal designed to bring the renowned characteristics of the API 527 VCA compressor to your pedalboard. Utilizing the proprietary API 2510 OpAmp and a distinctive output transformer, this pedal offers punchy, studio-grade compression suitable for live performance. Musically, the TranZformer CMP provides selectable compression types, allowing users to switch between "Old" mode, which features a feedback design reminiscent of the classic 525, and "New" mode, which employs a modern feed-forward approach. The pedal also includes a Wet/Dry blend control for parallel compression and offers adjustable Attack and Release settings with toggle switches, ensuring versatile dynamics control within a fully analog signal path.
