Additionally, it includes a Midboost button that works in conjunction with the output Boost knob, ensuring your solos stand out in the mix. To manage the harsher metal tones, the Smooth Edge switch helps mellow out high-end frequencies for a smoother tone, while two Fat switches provide either standard or boosted sounds with a thicker attack and added compression. The High Gain switch enables you to toggle between classic vintage metal tones and heavier modern gain. With a three-band EQ, you can explore a wide range of tonal options, including the Thrash button for a more traditional, scooped midrange. The built-in Amptweaker noise gate features the hard-hitting Chomp setting, which keeps your rhythm tight, particularly during rapid riffs with palm-muted stops. Internal settings allow for further gate customization. Known for their effects loops, Amptweaker pedals offer three options here: a universal loop, an active loop with boost, and the popular SideTrak loop that activates when the pedal is off—functioning like a built-in A/B box.
