The First Herald Big Box
Black Mass ElectronicsProduct Description
The First Herald is equipped with two separate and reversible circuits. The Fuzz section boasts a contemporary tone stack alongside three unique clipping options. With the inclusion of a Scoop control, you can precisely position your sound within the mix. At the lowest setting, you'll achieve a rich and assertive fuzz, while increasing the control introduces that characteristic midrange scoop. The clipping section is particularly noteworthy. When the toggle is set to the left, both soft-clipping stages employ a hybrid MOSFET/LED setup, delivering a vast, open, and punchy fuzz. Conversely, when switched to the right, it uses conventional silicon diodes for enhanced compression and a smooth, vintage squashed tone.
On the Boost side, you'll find a straightforward discrete boost circuit. The real innovation lies in the order reverse switch, enabling you to choose whether the boost comes before or after the fuzz. Engaging the Boost first results in a denser Fuzz saturation, while placing it after drives the amp harder or provides a solo-level boost. This isn't just a clean boost; it infuses your sound with character, grit, and substantial volume, making it an ideal partner for the Fuzz section.
