As a child learning guitar, the only pedal in my home was my father's ’73 Rams Head. That tone is etched in my memory. Black Mass originated from my attempt to replicate that pedal. However, while developing The First Herald, I chose to take a new approach. I meticulously examined each component value and dedicated months to perfecting it. Although the design is similar, the resulting sound is contemporary, assertive, and undeniably fierce.
