This pedal features a low-gain design, meaning that even with the gain knob turned all the way up, you won’t experience overwhelming fuzz. In fact, you might find that keeping it at a little over halfway is ideal. You may also prefer to leave it engaged: the Carbon is essentially a transparent overdrive that performs exceptionally well as a subtle enhancer for a clean amplifier.
