The EarthQuaker Devices Sunn O))) Life Pedal V3 combines distortion, boost, and an adjustable octave-up effect in a compact design. The distortion section is inspired by the classic 'White Face' pedal and features three selectable clipping modes, allowing for a range of drive sounds. The first mode provides a rich drive, while the second and third modes offer compressed crunch and the familiar 'white face' tone. The analogue Octave-Up section can be blended with the distortion using a knob or an expression pedal, delivering clean single-note effects above the 12th fret and a chaotic sound with chords. The 'Magnitude' section acts as a MOSFET booster, providing high output levels to drive tube amps without adding distortion. The pedal allows for independent use of each section, offering versatile tonal options.
