The Cast Iron Stonk Box is the result of a partnership between KGR Harmony in Oshu, Japan, and Knobhead PDX. We've been aware of Keijiro’s cast iron pedals for some time now, as he boasts an impressive lineup that features hand-forged iron enclosures crafted in a foundry that also produces traditional cast iron tetsubin teapots—definitely worth exploring for its intriguing history.
When Keijiro visited us a couple of years ago, we proposed the idea of creating a series of Benson Pedals with cast iron, and he was immediately on board!
We collaborated with Paige at Knobhead PDX to design unique custom knobs for this project. Our goal was to find an elemental touch that would soften the starkness of the iron with a hint of warmth and brightness. We ultimately chose a clear amber-hued resin, which we believe perfectly captures the desired effect.
