The BLAMMO! Skrambler serves as a versatile two-in-one pedal.
In its default setting, it offers a pure version of the iconic MK1 Ampeg Scrambler, crafted with premium, low-noise modern components. Switching to MOD mode unleashes the enhanced BLAMMO iteration; a powerful, distorted octave-up fuzz tone that responds dynamically to your guitar's volume, tone, and pickup selector, alternating between standard and glitchy, half-broken sounds. Within this mode, the texture control allows you to blend between aggressive feedback-laden fuzz that screams or sensitive, gated crackly tones that fade between notes or during silence. In stock mode, the texture control behaves differently, providing more open, less compressed tones when turned left, and harsher, nasal sounds with piercing highs when adjusted right. The blend feature ranges from 0 to 100 percent wet in stock mode, whereas in MOD mode, it can produce intriguing octave-down effects that sound like an irate camel. The master volume knob is positioned on the right side of the pedal near the input jack, maintaining a look reminiscent of the original Ampeg designs.
