The Carl Martin PlexiTone is a single-channel overdrive pedal developed in collaboration with Pete Thorn. Designed to fit easily on your pedalboard, it features three knobs and a single switch for straightforward operation. This model retains the gain structure of the High Gain setting from the original Pro-Series PlexiTone but offers improved performance with different amplifiers, thanks to its refined low-end response and smoother high frequencies.
The PlexiTone utilizes advanced DC-DC converter circuitry, allowing it to be powered by a regulated 9V power supply while maintaining the same ±12V operational level as its AC-powered predecessor. This design choice enables the use of high-quality components, ensuring consistent tone and ample headroom.
