The Sick As Overdrive takes a fresh approach, building on the classic Klon Centaur® design while incorporating significant enhancements for today’s guitarist. The gain control is ingeniously designed to serve a dual function— as you increase the gain, the balance between gain and clean tone also shifts. This means that even with the gain dialed back, your tone remains clear and defined without becoming muddy. You can adjust the headroom and drive character using the toggle switch, allowing you to select either a more compressed, mid-range-centric sound or a clear, open rhythm tone. Additionally, the tone circuit features a robust two-band active EQ that can boost or cut bass and treble frequencies by up to 15dB, offering extensive versatility. The internal voltage is elevated to 18V, enhancing clarity and headroom even further.
