The British Pedal Company Shatterbox from the Vintage Series is an accurate reproduction of the original John Hornby Skewes Shatterbox made in Leeds, England, circa 1968/1969. This pedal features a blend of two iconic effects: the Silicon-based Zonk II fuzz circuit and the Hornby Skewes Treble Boost circuit. The fuzz component delivers a creamy, consistent fuzz with a more vibrant tone compared to the original Zonk Machine MKI. The original version was released in very limited quantities and gained fame through its use by Mark Bolan of T. Rex.
