The Room #40 by Marshall™ is a dynamic overdrive pedal designed to emulate the tones of classic Marshall™ amplifiers. This pedal captures the essence of the legendary non-master volume PLEXI™ series and the master volume JMP™ and JCM800™ models, providing musicians with a powerful tool for achieving those iconic sounds. The Room #40 features JFET technology that recreates the compression and sag characteristic of these amplifiers when driven hard. It includes two notable modifications, mod #39 for the PLEXI™ tone and mod #34 for the JMP™ and JCM800™ sounds. This pedal also reflects the influence of Eddie Van Halen's “brown sound,” enhancing its versatility for tone shaping in various musical contexts.
