Rabid Mammal V2

Introducing the Rabid Mammal V2. Originally offered as the custom shop version known as the Rabid Mammal GREEN, the V2 retains the classic tones of the original Rabid Mammal while introducing three toggles for enhanced tonal versatility. The boost feature is a Witch Boost, now equipped with an added GRN low gain switch, resulting in a less compressed and more robust sonic enhancement. The fuzz component is a modified Supreme, incorporating the Pharaoh tonestack for pronounced mids along with LED or mosfet clipping. Two additional toggles provide alternate GREEN tones on the tone controls. The left RED/GRN toggle alters the mid anchor point, enabling mid scooping, while the right RED/GRN tone toggle offers a deeper mid cut. By utilizing both toggles, you can extensively hollow out the mids, providing a wide array of mid control options. The Rabid Mammal was crafted for Matt Pike of Sleep/High on Fire. It delivers a loose, dark, and fuzzy sound until the boost is activated, resulting in an incredibly thick yet sharp tone. The newly modified tonal options enhance the flexibility of this already iconic device. While the Rabid Mammal isn't designed to replicate the past, owning one won’t automatically make you sound like Matt. To get close, set your amp to a light organic distortion reminiscent of Malcolm Young, then hit it hard with the Mammal. Remember, tone is in the fingers.
