Quantum Mystic

The Quantum Mystic Overdrive was crafted in collaboration with Mike Scheidt of the Portland, Oregon band Yob, renowned for his exceptional tone and innovative contributions to the metal and doom scene. We took his preferred pedal from the iconic early Yob albums and transformed it into a modern, enhanced circuit. The Quantum Mystic is an op-amp based distortion/overdrive that includes a 3-band active EQ and germanium clipping. It draws inspiration from Mike's beloved old Grey Distortion, refined and reimagined through careful tweaking and sonic exploration by both Mike and myself, resulting in the sound you experience today. Utilize the active EQ to carve out frequencies for a classic vibe, or boost the final gain stage for rich, saturated tones of the future. Reduce the distortion, raise the volume, and leverage the active EQ to discover bright, clear boost sounds. Max out everything for a molten lead tone that drives the Universe Throb. To give it a striking visual appeal, we enlisted the artwork of esteemed underground artist Arik Roper. We’ve created something truly special, and we believe you’ll love it.
