The Prosody pedal from Signal Wizard Systems is an innovative impulse-response (IR) and effects unit that enhances the sound of electric or pickup-equipped string instruments, delivering rich acoustic tones through its internal IR processing. It boasts 16 pre-installed IRs, with more options accessible via software, allowing for the downloading and personalizing of user IRs. The controls feature a rotary selector for choosing IRs, a blend knob for adjusting the dry/wet mix, and a third rotary switch that manages effects like EQ, reverb, distortion, and echo, all of which can be customized and locked using software. With a high-impedance 3 MΩ input, it accommodates both piezo and magnetic pickups. The pedal can be powered using a standard 9 V pedal supply or through USB. It's crafted for straightforward operation at the hardware level, despite the sophisticated internal DSP features.
