The Philosopher’s Tone by EHX is a compressor pedal known for its clean sustain. It offers musicians a way to achieve a smooth and noiseless compression while retaining the original tone of their instrument. With Volume and Sustain controls, along with a parallel Blend knob, players can seamlessly mix their dry signal with the compressed effect. This design helps maintain natural pick attack, even at higher sustain settings. Additionally, the Treble control allows for a cut or boost of up to 6dB at 2kHz, enabling precise adjustments to the tonal response. True-bypass switching ensures the pedal does not affect your signal when disengaged, and internal 18V power rails provide ample headroom for hot pickups and line level signals.
