The Pigtronix Philosopher’s Tone is an analog compressor and sustainer designed to deliver extended clean sustain. It features variable Sustain (threshold), Blend (ratio), and Treble controls, allowing for a wide variety of compression sounds suitable for different musical styles.
This pedal also incorporates smooth diode clipping distortion, complete with a blend control to mix clean and distorted sounds. While the distortion can stand alone, it is optimized to complement other overdrive or fuzz pedals, enabling musicians to craft a lasting distortion tone with rich sustain.
