Pharaoh (Blackout Edition)
Black Arts ToneworksProduct Description
For musicians who cherish the tone of their guitar and amp, the Pharaoh pedal offers a unique spin on classic fuzz. This pedal boasts a diverse array of clipping and tonal settings, ranging from a subtle boost to mild overdrive and intense fuzz. It delivers a clear and natural sound that remains powerful and assertive, ensuring your guitar's character and your amp's tone are preserved. The Pharaoh features a dual tone control system designed to minimize volume loss while maintaining a natural tone, allowing your rig to shine without drastic alterations.
Starting with a hi/lo input switch reminiscent of your go-to tube amp, the lo setting provides greater headroom with reduced clipping, while the hi setting offers less headroom with increased clipping. There's also a standard fuzz knob and a comprehensive tone control that includes a high-end compensation knob, restoring any highs diminished by adjusting the lows. The diode selector switch enables various clipping modes: Silicon Diodes for a gritty distortion, Diodes out for enhanced volume and headroom with less clipping, and Asymmetrical Germanium clipping for a warm, vintage sound.
With two switches, the Pharaoh transitions seamlessly from a clean, rich boost to mild overdrive that cleans up nicely with your guitar's volume knob, and then to open, textured fuzz. It employs signal caps large enough to allow all frequencies to pass through without cutting, ensuring a natural sound. This feature is particularly beneficial for bass players, providing massive fuzz without sacrificing low-end clarity or introducing unwanted squishy tones.
