The PastFx Patriarch is a fuzz pedal that expands on the Buffalo FX Patriot MKI and MKII, inspired by the Sovtek “Civil War” Muff famously used by David Gilmour. As part of the Spectrum Collection, it offers high gain with a significant low end, sharp lead tones, and impressive sustain, all while maintaining a low noise floor.
Musically, the Patriarch delivers a thick, Muff-style fuzz that cuts through the mix with defined notes and natural compression. It features a “Mids” knob for adjusting midrange presence and a “Lows” cut knob to control the substantial low frequencies. An internal micro switch provides further tonal shaping options, making it versatile for a range of high-gain applications.
