The PARASITE by Colortone is a touch-sensitive overdrive pedal designed with hand-matched “smooth gain” JFETs, providing dynamic response and excellent clean-up with the guitar’s volume control. At lower gain settings, it serves as an effective always-on pedal, enhancing clean tones with warmth and subtle breakup. As you increase the gain, the PARASITE produces creamy compression and harmonically rich saturation, mimicking the feel of a driven tube amplifier. Its tone-shaping controls allow for precise adjustments, ensuring clarity at high volumes and making it suitable for overdrive tones reminiscent of Blues Breaker, Dumble, and OCD styles.
