The Outward is a versatile delay and time-stretching sampler offering two primary modes: timestretch and delay, each with three sub-modes for expanded functionality.
In the delay modes, the pedal captures audio and holds the sample for a duration controlled by the speed knob. The footswitch enables users to freeze the audio within the delay memory, allowing for creative manipulation.
The envelope mode activates recording when the input signal surpasses a specific threshold, playing back the captured audio indefinitely or until the envelope is triggered again. In this mode, the footswitch adjusts sensitivity to prevent new incoming audio from overwriting the existing sample.
