The Omnicomp is a versatile optical compressor that merges the accuracy and brilliance of the Apex with the depth and character of the Monocomp. Its adaptability makes it perfect for both live performances on a pedalboard and precision compression in the studio for all your tracks. Equipped with an internal 30-volt regulated power supply, the Omnicomp effortlessly manages signals up to line level with clarity. The audio path features a Burr Brown op amp, ensuring exceptional audio quality and minimal noise. The compression mechanism utilizes a vactrol—an optical component that delivers musical compression that's easy to adjust. Additionally, the Omnicomp's side chain includes a gentle high pass filter that becomes progressively steeper for lower frequencies. This is designed to prevent bass-heavy instruments from excessively triggering the compression. It works exceptionally well with bass, guitar, drums, and vocals, providing uniform compression across their frequency ranges.
