The Maxon Nine Series Overdrive Pro+ is an overdrive pedal that builds on the classic OD-9 circuit, featuring both 9V and 18V operation options along with a Mid Boost switch.
In the 9V mode, it delivers the familiar OD-9 tones, enhanced by a +3 dB midrange boost around 800 Hz, which is particularly useful for solos in a full band context. Switching to the 18V mode increases the pedal's output, providing deeper lows, tighter saturation, and improved dynamics for a more aggressive playing experience. Engaging the Mid Boost in this setting allows for pronounced and dynamic solos.
