The Franklin Audio MP-10 is a microphone-to-instrument preamplifier designed to convert low-level mic signals into instrument-level signals suitable for use with guitar and bass pedals. It maintains ultra-high headroom and transparent amplification, ensuring the integrity of the original mic tone while providing appropriate gain and impedance for downstream effects. This preamp supports condenser microphones with phantom power (48 V) and is compatible with dynamic and ribbon mics. It features a balanced XLR mic input, a balanced XLR “mic-thru” output for an untouched signal copy, and a ¼" unbalanced output for connecting to pedals or amplifiers. Powered by standard 9 V DC, the MP-10 is built for easy integration into any pedalboard setup.
