The Moog MF Drive is a filter-based overdrive pedal that utilizes a Moog Ladder Filter along with FET amplifiers and operational transconductance amplifiers (OTAs) in its drive section. This design makes the pedal highly responsive to your playing dynamics and input gain. Musically, the MF Drive can produce a wide range of overdrive tones, from smooth British-style overdrive to the aggressive sound of a cranked American tube amp, and even fuzz-like textures. The bi-polar tone control and sweepable filter allow for extensive tonal shaping to suit your preferences. Additionally, engaging the filter Peak switch while using an expression pedal shifts the harmonic content to the filter’s cutoff position, expanding your tonal options and adding wah-like effects.
