MIGFET Preamp V2

Last year, we introduced the Transistor MIGFET 50P Preamp, a modern take on the classic Sovtek MIG50 guitar tube amplifier, now in pedal format. The reception was phenomenal, with guitarists thrilled to have the essence of their favorite amplifier in such a portable design. One common piece of feedback we received was a desire for MORE GAIN, which led us to explore a straightforward component swap that enhances breakup while preserving the original MIG tonal qualities. This innovation gave rise to the MIGFET V2. Utilizing JFETs instead of the 12AX7 preamp tubes from the original amp circuit, this pedal offers the dynamic compression and sag response characteristic of tube amplifiers when you dig into the strings. The dynamic EQ features the classic Bassman tone stack, reminiscent of the MIG circuit, providing a wide range of tunable sounds. For clean preamp tones, lower the Volume and increase the Master; for additional gain and breakup, reduce the Master and crank the Volume.
