What can we say about the classic boost pedal? It's an AC signal riding on a DC current, and I've put my utmost effort into enhancing it. The JFET is inspired by my deep appreciation for FET transistors and their significance in many devices. FETs are among the earliest solid-state components designed to closely replicate the sound of vacuum tubes, and they've become integral to numerous iconic pieces of equipment. As with all 29 products, we avoid copying or mimicking existing designs, opting instead for a completely original approach. The JFET stage is expertly biased to achieve a specific total harmonic distortion ratio, providing just the right amount of warmth to sound tube-like while remaining very clean by most standards. A dual-stage IC output driver shapes the tone and keeps output impedance consistent as you adjust the level fader. The three modes gently refine the low end, allowing for precise adjustments to your boost sound with your guitar. It sounds fantastic after EUNA or as an alternative front-end for your pedalboard, offering around 18dB of gain and pairs wonderfully with FLWR and other overdrives! It easily drives cables and consumes about 150mA. It also includes our WHATEVER internal power supply and boasts the high-quality construction you expect from BELIEVABLE AUDIO.
