IG9 Intelligate

Whether the noise originates from your single-coil pickups or ungrounded power sources, hum is an inevitable reality. The BEHRINGER INTELLIGATE IG9 effectively silences this hum when you’re not playing. A noise gate permits audio to pass through only when it exceeds a predetermined threshold. If the audio level drops below this threshold, no signal is transmitted. This means you can set the IG9’s threshold just above the noise generated when your guitar is plugged in but idle, resulting in a quiet environment. When you start playing, your guitar signal will surpass the threshold, allowing your sound to be heard. The IG9 preserves the unique tonal characteristics of your music while suppressing noise across high, mid, or full frequencies, depending on your frequency dial settings. This essential pedal ensures that the desirable aspects of your sound come through with rapid attack and customizable release time. An indicator LED shows when the IG9 is active, and its true hardware bypass maintains signal integrity. You can power the IG9 using a 9 V battery or a DC power supply (not included).
