Hot for Flanger

The PastFx Hot for Flanger is an analog flanger effect pedal designed by Australian builder PastFx. Drawing inspiration from the vintage 1970s MXR M117 Flanger, this pedal offers modern enhancements in a compact format. Musically, it produces classic jet-plane and swooshing modulation tones, facilitated by an NOS MN3007 bucket-brigade delay chip. Players can shape their sound with controls for Speed (Rate), Width, Manual, Regen (feedback), and Blend for wet/dry balance. A notable Waldo/EVH-inspired clock/timing switch provides alternate voicing options, while a dual red/blue LFO LED offers visual feedback on the modulation rate. Designed to run on 18 V DC (negative tip), it ensures optimal headroom and performance, along with true bypass switching for signal integrity.
