Fishing Is As Fun As Fuzz is a fuzz pedal that merges a robust "wall of fuzz" sound with a distortion-like quality that slices through the mix, making fuzz an enjoyable experience.
Our latest iteration of the FIAFAF OD features enhanced footswitch accessibility, now positioned at the front right of the pedal for easier activation, while also streamlining battery changes. The artwork has received a refresh, and the circuitry has been refined and expanded for compatibility with a broader spectrum of guitars and amplifiers.
Animals Pedal has a deep appreciation for fuzz pedals. Since the 1970s, the iconic “Big Muff Pi” has remained a favorite among top artists worldwide, evolving in its circuit design and aesthetics over the years. We believe the most significant versions of this circuit include the “Triangle,” “Rams Head,” and “Civil War.” The Civil War model, produced in Russia during the early 1990s, stands out as one of the rarest in the Muff lineage and is celebrated for its more distortion-like tonal character. It’s user-friendly, appealing to guitarists across all generations and styles, which is why we aimed to capture that essence in our design.
Fishing Is As Fun As Fuzz is inspired by the Civil War-era Muff circuit. It’s more than just a replica; while a basic clone might utilize vintage components, it lacks the consistency and affordability offered by modern manufacturing. The FIAFAF retains the engaging elements of the Civil War Muff while being easier to manage and budget-friendly. Notably, the high frequencies have been adjusted for compatibility with a wider range of guitars and amps, and the low end has been tightened and clarified compared to the original design. Additionally, both gain and volume settings have been enhanced for greater versatility.
It's robust enough to stand alone yet maintains a strong presence within a band setting. By tweaking the DRIVE and TONE knobs, you'll unlock a diverse array of fuzz tones.
