True to its name, the Fatman/V2 delivers an impressively expansive sound! It presents an extensive range of distortions, including rich tube tones, bluesy overdrive, powerful distortion, and mind-bending oscillating fuzz, making this pedal incredibly adaptable. In Fatman mode, it truly shines, with the gain knob offering a broad spectrum of distortion to suit any playing style! When switched to the V2 oscillating fuzz mode, this pedal unleashes wild leads. You can choose between a preset oscillator tone controlled by a knob or manipulate the oscillator frequency in real time by hovering your foot over the built-in light control, creating a natural wah-distortion effect. In oscillator mode, this pedal can also produce robotic synthetic guitar sounds and even nostalgic video game-like tones! It's important to note that when I mention oscillating fuzz, I mean it genuinely oscillates. When you're not playing, the pedal emits a tone. In this mode, if you play a note and let it fade, you'll first hear the oscillator sound interacting with your instrument, resembling a ring modulator effect, before the oscillator takes over as the sound diminishes.
