The Fat Mouse by ProCo is a distortion pedal designed for electric guitarists, enhancing the classic Rat circuit with a switchable MOSFET/germanium clipping option. This feature allows you to toggle between the original Rat tone and a more scooped, smooth sound resembling an amp's response.
Musically, the Fat Mouse delivers a versatile range of distortion tones, accommodating everything from classic rock to heavier genres. The Fat switch provides a bass boost and high cut, making it suitable for lower tunings and bass guitars. Controls include a Distortion knob, a Filter knob, and overall Volume, with a bypass/engage footswitch for easy operation. The pedal connects via a standard 1/4" instrument input and output and is powered by a DC 9V adapter.
