Evolver Desktop

The Dave Smith Instruments Evolver is a monophonic hybrid synthesizer that combines analog and digital technologies within a compact desktop format. It includes two analog digitally controlled oscillators (DCOs) and two digital wavetable oscillators inspired by the Sequential Prophet VS. The synthesizer features authentic analog Curtis low-pass filters and provides a true stereo signal path with separate filters for each channel. Musically, the Evolver produces rich, evolving sounds and intricate rhythmic textures, thanks in part to its built-in 16x4 step sequencer. This design reflects Dave Smith's innovative approach to synthesizer development, following his collaboration with Roger Linn on the Adrenalinn pedal.
