The Moollon Equalizer is a precise tool for sculpting the sound of electric guitars and basses, providing extensive control over the frequency spectrum without introducing unwanted clipping. With treble and bass controls capable of ±15 dB adjustments at 4.5 kHz and 100 Hz respectively, the midrange control stands out, offering flexibility across 200 Hz to 2 kHz. This allows for targeted boosts or cuts, particularly beneficial for fine-tuning various tonal qualities. When used as an external preamp, the equalizer can enhance the character of instruments with passive pickups, making them sound more dynamic.
