Product Description

Crafted from a distinct steel casing and featuring high-quality components, this pedal reflects my commitment to excellence. I understand that selecting the ideal components and designs in the guitar gear realm can be challenging, so I chose my preferred options. This includes Switchcraft 11 open frame jacks and an impressively quiet soft touch switching system powered by an internal relay. After nearly three years of development in collaboration with Jon Ashley from Bondi Effects, I believe this pedal stands out in both design and sound, particularly in the lower gain and boost settings. It offers a nuance that feels more akin to a vintage pedal rather than simply a reimagining of a classic. The pedal comprises two circuits: one for distortion and another for preamp boost, operating at 18v with an internal voltage regulator. My aim was to carve out a distinctive tone for myself, and it turned out to be an incredibly versatile tool for exploring various sounds. I take great pride in the lower gain side, which I think is the most original aspect of the pedal, but I must also highlight that the gain section delivers a wonderfully rich tone, especially for dense and intricate chords. It has a midrange punch that I adore, along with a warmth and thickness reminiscent of a ribbon mic. This pedal's evolution into something innovative ultimately inspired the creation of 1981 Inventions, leading me to choose it as my first official release.
