Featuring a delay time range of 30ms to 1250ms, the Benson Delay is versatile enough to handle chorus, vibrato, and slapback effects, while also allowing for the creation of ethereal and haunting soundscapes, along with a diverse array of wobbly musical tones in between.
By pressing and holding the tap knob, you can increase feedback for self-oscillation, making it ideal for sustaining notes or generating extraterrestrial sounds when paired with the time knob (easily accessible with your toe). This function is effective when the feedback knob is slightly turned up and does not introduce any unwanted clicking into the signal chain. It can also be adjusted via an internal trim pot.
The Benson Delay boasts the most precise tap tempo ever utilized with the PT2399, thanks to Bontempo—a groundbreaking open-source technology developed by Antoine Ricoux at Electric Canary and further refined by film colorist Octave Zangs (both brilliant minds). Each pedal is capable of self-calibration—how cool is that?
