The Fredric Effects Deeply Unpleasant Companion Mk1 is a fuzz pedal that pays homage to the classic Shin-ei FY-2 and FY-6 designs. Utilizing 2SC828 transistors, it faithfully replicates the distinctive tones of the original units.
Musically, this pedal offers two distinct fuzz characteristics: the smoother sound of the Fuzz Companion (FY-6) and the more aggressive, spitty tone of the Unpleasant Companion (FY-2). A simple toggle switch allows you to switch between these two modes seamlessly.
The pedal also includes essential features like an LED indicator for visibility and a standard DC power input, enhancing usability while maintaining the essence of the vintage models.
