The Death by Unicorn Mini is a compact fuzz-octave boost pedal that pays homage to the Life Pedal V2. This version maintains the core functionality of its larger counterpart but does not include the third Octave Footswitch, meaning the octave effect is always active unless set to zero. Musically, this pedal functions as a hot-rodded RAT, offering three distinct clipping modes: classic diode clipping, no clipping for increased volume, and asymmetric LED plus diode clipping. It combines the qualities of a RAT, a Green Ringer, and a boost within a single enclosure. The left footswitch activates the post-circuit boost, while the right engages the distortion, providing versatile tonal options. The pedal is powered by a 9V DC center-negative supply and has a low power consumption of 5mA.
