The Crazy Tube Circuits Crossfire Overdrive is a versatile pedal that combines a clean amp-inspired tone with a classic overdrive effect. The left side emulates the sound of blackface amplifiers, delivering bold lows, bright highs, and slightly scooped mids, with options for solid-state or tube rectification via a headroom switch.
On the right side, you'll find a green mid-hump overdrive that pays homage to its late '70s origins. This side features a clipping toggle switch for selecting between symmetrical and asymmetrical clipping, enhancing the pedal's touch-sensitive response. Additionally, a gain toggle increases gain and modifies low-frequency response, simulating the effect of cascading two overdrive pedals. An internal switch allows for 18V DC operation, providing extra headroom for the overdrive circuit.
