Introducing the AXiom Classic Compressor CC-1. This dual OTA-based feedback compressor pedal is expertly designed to combine the natural feel of classic stompbox compressors with the accuracy and functionality of studio-grade compressors. It responds to your playing style much like the renowned Dyna Comp/Ross/CS-2 pedals, but offers enhanced control options, including independent true ATTACK, RELEASE, RATIO/BLEND, SENSITIVITY (threshold), INPUT, TONE, and GAIN adjustments. You can achieve everything from subtle, transparent optical-like compression that maintains your tone and pick attack to extreme squash and sustain that surpasses the capabilities of traditional models, thanks to its dual parallel compression engines. The INPUT control lets you customize the response for any pickup, whether it's low-output single coils or high-output active humbuckers. The TONE control is designed to accentuate or diminish pick attack and "air," while the GAIN stage provides ample output to drive your amp or other pedals. Plus, it avoids the common "pumping" effect associated with feedback compressors, even when the attack is set high, as the attack is often permanently fast internally in this type of compressor.
