The Brownie by Cmat Mods is an analog distortion pedal based on the BSIAB circuit, designed to emulate the sound of a cranked Marshall amplifier. It offers ample gain and sustain, making it suitable for a range of high-gain applications.
Musically, the Brownie delivers a rich distortion with a prominent midrange presence, ideal for driving solos and powerful riffs. The pedal features standard Level, Gain, and Tone controls for shaping your sound.
Additionally, the Brownie can be powered by a 9V battery or an external power supply. The inclusion of a bright blue LED indicates power status, and the circuit's JFET can be swapped for different types to slightly modify the gain response.
