The compression ratio can be adjusted from subtle enhancement to complete limiting. You can set the signal threshold for line-level inputs or down to low-output instruments. With up to 20 dB of gain, you can compensate for any volume lost through compression or simply elevate your signal above unity.
Additionally, the Apex features a variable high-pass filter in the side chain, making it ideal for bass guitars, allowing you to minimize the low-end influence on the compression while still responding naturally to your playing dynamics. Rest assured, the high-pass filter will not alter your audio signal, so there’s no risk of losing low-end frequencies!
