The BOSS MD-500 is a multi-algorithm stereo modulation effects pedal designed for a wide range of modulation processing. It features 28 selectable algorithms, including chorus, flanger, phaser, rotary, tremolo, and vintage effect models such as the CE-1 Chorus Ensemble and Roland Dimension D. The pedal operates with 32-bit AD/DA conversion, 32-bit floating-point processing, and a 96 kHz sampling rate for high-fidelity sound. The A/B Simul mode allows users to run two independent patches at the same time. An insert loop function enables integration with drive pedals, allowing flexible routing of modulation effects before, after, or within a signal chain loop.
