The Catalinbread Airstrip is a preamp effects pedal designed to replicate the sonic character of the Trident A-Range recording console from the late 1960s and early 1980s. This preamp pedal utilizes a discrete germanium-transistor and transformer circuit, delivering console-style saturation, harmonic-rich distortion, and coloration. For additional gain shaping, a discrete op-amp inspired by vintage UREI designs is included. The Airstrip provides a selectable treble filter for tonal adjustment, and incorporates a transformer for signal coloration.
